1. JUDGE: JACQUES MOMBERG
Jacques Momberg is the Founder and CEO of COPPERSTONE Event Production & Creative Agency, and owner of the Humanitarian of the Year and Talent Search competitions. He is also a Senior Financial Planner, a philanthropist, entrepreneur, blogger, coffeeholic and is fascinated by all things pop-culture.
He loves Netflix, YouTube, all genres of music, seafood, pinotage and perfection, and has a spine-chilling fear of snakes and Crocs. He is a producer and architect of any idea worthy of keeping his attention for longer than 20 seconds. Some people call him a marketing guru- he never corrects them.
2. JUDGE: RIALIEN FURSTENBERG
Rialien Furstenberg is the editor for Get It Joburg West magazine, been in the media industry for 13 years, a multitasker, a crazy cat lady who adores all things animals and appreciates all the finer things in life like proper champagne and red wine. Attending (what seems to be) far over a thousand of social events can also be added to her resumé … yes, she’s seen it all!
Rialien’s been involved with Copperstone Event Production & Creative Agency’s Humanitarian of the Year and Talent Search competitions for the past 7 years. Once upon a time, she was a newspaper journo chasing accidents, fires and crime stories. She counts charity work, music, theatre, food, and the MasterChef series among her myriad of interests.
3. JUDGE: GAVIN PRINS
Gavin Prins has worked in the media industry for 14 years for various newspapers and magazines as an Entertainment Reporter and editor. This allowed him to meet and have lunches with some of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
Today, he is a published author, radio host and owns Red Dot Public Relations, and has been involved with Copperstone Event Production & Creative Agency’s Humanitarian of the Year and Talent Search competitions for the past 5 years.
4. JUDGE: ADRE MULLER
Adre Muller is an educated drama queen, fashionista, content creator, blogger, guest blogger to various social media platforms, collaborator, stylist, wine is life lover, self-proclaimed social media expert and pretty much the unusual teacher. Her name is derived from French and Latin, meaning one who plants seed, the bearer of this name sows seeds and expects a harvest, she is the called, chosen and appointed by God.
She was the first SA Bachelorette, she is a philanthropist, animal activist, vehement, powerhouse, wife, wonder woman, fur mom, woman hustler; this is @meetmrsmuller.
5. MENTOR: ANDRE BARTLETT
André Bartlett was born in Pretoria and trained as a theologian at the University of Pretoria. He served as pastor of various congregations in his church. Currently he is the head of the Centre for the Formation of Ministry at the University of Pretoria.
He is chairperson of Studytrust, the Wilgespruit Fellowship Trust and the South African Council of Churches in Gauteng. It is André’s first year involved with the Humanitarian competition.
6. MENTOR: RICHARD MUTANDA
Richard Mutanda is a Senior Sales Manager for the Radisson Hotel Group with sophisticated sales and customer service and business administration skills. High calibre with over 10 year sales experience in business development management.
Richard is passionate about sales skills development, fund raising and charity work, previously serving as a judge for the Humanitarian of the Year competition, he is one of this year’s mentors.
Our past winners are all successful leaders who believe in the spirit of Ubuntu. They are idealistic individuals who devote their energy and time to the good that they want to do and the change they want to bring about.
They are altruistic, optimistic, extremely hard-working and see the world in a different light than others. They truly believe that the world, although not perfect, can be made into a much better place.
